About this cottage rental
The 2 gites of la Lucaziere are located one and a half hours south of the ferry port of Ouistreham and 35 minutes from Le Mans. It is set in its own grounds, along with Grooms cottage, which form part of a 400 acre organic estate with it's chateau, meadows and extensive woodland. The owners of the gite live in the chateau, far enough away to allow you privacy but on hand if required.
The local village of Mont saint Jean is less than 1 km away and has a bar and a small shop as well as a boulangerie. The local area offers many attractions. The lake and beach of Sille le Guillaume is just 5 km from la Lucaziere, there you can enjoy sailing, ,pedalos, pleasure bikes or simply relax at one of the bars with a glass of wine! Nearby, the picturesque village of St Leonard du Bois offers kayaking and superb hiking and cycling routes as well as some lovely restaurants. There are many other beautiful villages in the area to be explored. But if it is peace and tranquillity that you require why not just laze around the heated pool at la Lucaziere, located in the gite gardens.
The spacious gite has 4 bedrooms sleeping 7. On the ground floor there is a well equipped kitchen and dining area, this opens into the sitting room where you can relax and enjoy your favourite uk television channels! A double bedded ground floor bedroom with its own shower, is ideal for guests with limited mobility. A ground floor wc is to be found in the entrance hall.
On the first floor is a twin bedded room, a large family bathroom and separate wc. The second floor has a further double bedroom and a spacious single bedroom.
Outside is a private patio area with garden furniture and barbeque. The garden of the gite opens onto the private woodland of La Lucaziere in which you may be lucky enough to spot the wild deer that live in the grounds of the chateau.
The pool area is fenced for the security of young children. Unlimited fibre optic internet is connected to the Gite.

Le lieu est très beau, les chambres très confortables.
Il manque quelques éléments de vaisselle (un peu juste en couverts et ustensiles).
Nous n'avions pas compris que nous aurions des voisins et que le château faisait aussi gîte/ B&B mais ça s'est bien passé de ce côté là.
La piscine est top ! et les propriétaires très accueillants

Le gîte est vraiment beau et bien entretenu, très propre. Nous avons pu visiter la région, profiter de la piscine et même pêcher "no kill" dans l'étang. Nous sommes parti ma sœur et moi avec nos conjoints, notre fils et mamie. Tout était adapté même pour une personne à mobilité réduite. Un super séjour à renouveler.

Het is een mooi vakantiehuis. Het zwembad is super fijn (ook met kouder weer) en leuk dat er ook buitenspeelgoed aanwezig is. Ook de visvijver is goed.
