    Mai, her husband and the staff are just lovely to have as host. The facilities are kept cleaned and maintained everyday. The beds are spacious and have lots of hooks to hang items to dry or store. The atmosphere they have fostered is very welcoming and lively. I met many cool people at this hostel and I believe the host sets the tone from the moment they greet you warmly. I accidentally came to Mama hostel my first time when I meant to check in with another hostel near by. Their kind demeanour stood out to me and made me want to book with them and try out this hostel after my stay was completed at my previous place. Definitely a good idea and loved my stay here. Thank you for sharing so many snacks and fruits with us Mai! Hope to come back in the future and would definitely recommend MaMa Hostel!

    Hospitable and helpful hosts that can speak good English and Mandarin in addition to Thai. The bed feels spacious for hostel standard. The toilet and common areas are in good condition. There are some complimentary bread, biscuits, coffee/tea and fruits, and water dispenser, kettle, microwave, and fridge on ground floor. Good location near to the wat chedi luang and wat phra Singh, walking distance to eateries and 7-11. The other guests are polite. Overall good experience.

    Mama Hostel CNX is a wonderful place to stay. The people running it are truly lovely , very kind, welcoming, and they genuinely go out of their way to help guests feel at home. The location is one of the best in Chiang Mai,very central and right next to the Sunday Walking Street Market, making it easy to explore the old city on foot. The hostel is neat and clean, with spotless bathrooms and comfortable beds that make resting easy. There’s a great common area with couches and board games, perfect for relaxing and socializing with fellow travelers. A big plus is the free tea, coffee, water, and light breakfast snacks available throughout the day, which adds a lot of value. Overall, a warm, friendly, and well-maintained hostel—highly recommended.
