This property was a lovely authentic Japanese experience, with a gorgeous indoor garden. It had a wonderful atmosphere and had everything we needed.
Nothing - we had to pre-think our travel to Naoshima island with using buses and uber but it all worked perfectly!

The property has a well-maintained more traditional interior arranged around a beautiful central courtyard, lending the house a rare kind of introspection. Most of the house was old style Japanese, except for the bathroom and kitchen, which were very modern. This was much appreciated! The location is excellent when you are planning retreats into the countryside or nature reserve, or a cross-over to another island such as Naoshima or Shikoku.
The location around the property isn’t the most glamorous but is still a quaint town. A car is highly advised.
