Beautiful new hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a nice variety (not the usual bacon, eggs and sausages). We also had lunch and dined a few times at the restaurant which also was great. Everything in and around the hotel was very clean. The main swimming pool was also very nice with soft beds. The hotel has a clear policy that reserving pool beds with towels is not allowed, which we think is very good. A bed not being used for an hour is cleared and belongings are stored safely at the front desk. We had a room with swim up, private swimming pool (shared with 5 other rooms). It was very quiet and nice to take a dive in after a day at the beach. The beach is very close as is the center of Nidri with the shops and nice restaurants. Parking of a car can be done for €7 per day at Ellia parking (special Aethra hotel deal with this parking). There is also a nice gym (towels can also be found there).

When we booked there were still "designer" photos of the rooms on the website. This has already been fixed. All the photos on the website and booking are real. We liked the room very much. I already thought that the first photos were "designs" so no problem for us. When you check out but will stay at the hotel (because your flight is later) this is no problem. You can use all the facilities. There is however not a real shower and changing room. The shower is outside and as changing room the staff friendly offers you the disabled toilet/ baby changing room. This is ok and fine, but maybe the hotel can think of a little improvement here. For us this was no issue. Because the hotel is new the plants around the hotel garden still have to grow. So at this moment you still can see some "lesser magical outside world". Again for us not an issue. I think in the future with full grown plants and trees the hotel will be even more beautiful. Bottom lines stays: hotel is super, we had a great stay.

The building is brand new and very nice and cozy. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The service and overall approach are excellent, and in particular Janis, who is a real asset to the hotel. He is a great guy, constantly asking for feedback, and as the hotel has just opened, he is very responsive. When we raised an issue, it was resolved within five minutes. The breakfast is good and nutritious, with one or two items changing daily to add some variety. The pool area is well designed, even though the pool itself is relatively small. The food served in the pool area was very good. The beds are also comfortable.

No towels or disinfectant in the gym, and there is no shower available for guests leaving later. The air conditioning on the second floor of the maisonette also takes a little too long to kick in. Some items are very well chosen and fit the overall design perfectly, while others seem to detract from it, such as the handrail on the staircase. But this is, of course, a matter of personal taste. The background music also doesn’t really fit the hotel’s design and character. Something more lounge-oriented and sophisticated would better match the concept and what the hotel otherwise delivers. Overall, a good to very good experience, with some potential to make it even better.
