Suite In Town Home

Great little fully renovated 1 BR apartment 10 min walk to Piazza Maggiore and 17 min walk to railway station. Every detail beautifully thought through - spotlessly clean, good quality linen, soft towels, safe, hair dryer and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Alessandro is a fantastic and responsive host.

There wasn’t much to not like! Everything waa great. If I had to pick one point I would say that the road works outside on the street were not ideal. But it has nothing to do with the apartment. Roadworks can happen in any neighborhood and in any city. You cannot hear or see the roadworks from the apartment so it’s quite a minor point.

Great location easy walk to main area. Train station 15 minute walk. Hosts very responsive and generous. Products in the kitchen to use was helpful. The apartment is extremely clean, modern and fresh. The linens were of good quality with bathrobes. The shower is large and beautiful. Previous reviews state air conditioner issues and heat . The apartment has a new large air conditioner installed In the bedroom which reaches the whole apartment. We had no issues with the heat. Bed comfortable , everything relatively new. Recommend this stay it was a lovely three nights.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful, fantastically presented and well equipped. It is also in a brilliant location for you to explore Bologna. There are a lot of things to like!

Here is where it falls apart. I have stayed in over 20 booking.com properties in Italy and never left a review less than 10 (or left nothing at all) but the apartment was unlivable. The temperature was 27 degrees in the evening (and outside the temperature peaked at 19 degrees, it isn't summer). I messaged the owner, who was great but full of excuses about the "communal" heating (this is a business not a charity, I've never witnessed something like this in Italy). His answer was to use the fans in the ceiling which was just recirculating hot air, and a Dyson air fan which is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The problem was that the apartment is like a greenhouse in the day, but in the evening it is a busy road so you can't open the doors (Italian drivers are happy to use their horns at 3am) and the roadworks started at 5am, paired with a lot of mosquitos! Over 2 nights I got 7 hours sleep, this ruined our second day in Bologna, luckily we went home the day after so it didn't ruin another day. I wouldn't stay here again, but the apartment was lovely.
