This Wellness Retreat blends historic charm with modern comfort, offering an inviting interior layout ideal for families and groups. The main house features five thoughtfully designed bedrooms - two with en-suite bathrooms, two sharing a family bathroom, and one twin room - comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests.
A spacious sitting room with double-height ceilings, French doors, and a wood-burning stove provides a cosy gathering space, while an adjacent snug offers a perfect retreat for relaxation or children's entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar, leads to a formal dining room that comfortably seats 12.

Thistle bedroom: ground floor, off the Lounge – king four poster with en-suite shower
Tartan bedroom: lower ground floor, down small flight of stairs from the kitchen and off the snug – king with en suite shower
Heather bedroom: first floor – twin, shares family bathroom with Grouse, bath and shower
Grouse bedroom: first floor – king four poster, shares family bathroom with Heather, bath and shower
Whisky bedroom: Second floor – king with en suite shower

The property is set within a private one-acre walled garden, featuring manicured lawns, stone patios, and a seven-seater hot tub - perfect for unwinding amidst the tranquil surroundings.
Beyond the garden, guests can explore 34 acres of private hillside woodlands, providing ample opportunities for leisurely walks and nature appreciation. The estate's original stone courtyard, once home to the estate office, stables, and boathouse, now houses the beautifully renovated Coach House, adding to the property's rustic elegance. With its picturesque setting and thoughtful landscaping, this retreat offers a serene outdoor experience that complements its luxurious interior.

By car
From Edinburgh Airport (EDI)
Exit airport, join A8/M8 west towards Glasgow. 2. Continue on M8 then M898 → cross Erskine Bridge → join A82 north along Loch Lomond. 3. At Tarbet take the A83 west towards Arrochar/Arrochar. 4. Near Arrochar, follow local signage for Stuckgowan / estate. Use map pin (redstart.heron.bluetail) to guide final approach.
From Glasgow Airport (GLA)
Exit airport, join A82 north / M8 → follow signs toward Loch Lomond. 2. Continue on A82 to Tarbet, then A83 west to Arrochar. 3. Follow local roads / estate signs to drop‑off at redstart.heron.bluetail.
By Train
From Edinburgh Waverley Train Station
Take train from Edinburgh Waverley to Arrochar & Tarbet station. Direct trains available. From Arrochar & Tarbet station, get a taxi or local transfer to the property (Stuckgowan / redstart.heron.bluetail). The station is roughly 2 miles from the estate.
From Glasgow Central Train Station
Take train from Glasgow Central to Arrochar & Tarbet. From the station, take taxi/local transport to the property.
By Bus / Coach
From Glasgow (or Glasgow Airport via transfer to Glasgow centre)
From Glasgow city centre/Buchanan Bus Station catch a coach of Scottish Citylink service that goes to Arrochar / Tarbet (e.g. the 926 or 976 depending on schedule). Get off at the stop for Arrochar / Tarbet, then arrange taxi or local transfer to Stuckgowan / redstart.heron.bluetail. The estate is a short distance from those villages.
From Edinburgh Airport
Bus from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station. Then take coach from Buchanan Bus Station to Arrochar/Tarbet (Citylink). Then taxi or local transport from there to the property.
