The space
Designed by American artist and interior designer Mark West, this two-story house offers a private and inspiring retreat surrounded by nature. Just a 3-minute walk to the famous the Trilha Dois Irmãos trail where you can climb to the mountain top everyday and a short walk down to Rio’s golden beaches, the home blends mountain serenity with seaside living. The property is totally private, with sweeping views of the ocean, tropical trees, and jungle canopy, where you might just spot a monkey playing on the guava tree in front of the house.
Inside, the guesthouse unfolds across two spacious floors, featuring 5G high-speed internet and a comfortable workspace for those who wish to stay connected or work remotely amidst nature. After a productive morning, unwind in the sauna for two upstairs or enjoy one of the two full bathrooms designed for comfort and ease. Multiple balconies invite reflection, morning coffee with the sunrise, or sunset cocktails overlooking the Atlantic.
In the evenings, gather around the fire pit under the stars, or take a short walk to Vidigal’s lively bars, clubs, and samba spots, where you’ll instantly feel part of a friendly and creative community. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION (ONE WAY & ROUNDTRIP)
If this is your first time in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil or you are unfamiliar with hillside communities, we can arrange airport pickup and drop off, 250 brazilian reals ($44 each way) We recommend for your ease
There is public transportation to the house picking up in the main square via public bus that runs along the main road in Vidigal (10 minutes), a motorcycle taxi (3-4 minutes) or public/private taxi. Or you can walk 15 minutes to the bottom There is a beautiful beach there for the neighborhood, it's called Praia do Vidigal
