With the Pacific Ocean waiting just across the dunes and the heart of downtown Rockaway Beach within a few blocks' stroll, this oceanfront home is the easy, comfortable Oregon Coast getaway you've been hoping for.
This home occupies one half of a duplex, with a long ocean view deck running the length of the house that's divided between the two sides. Inside, you'll find an open living space with large picture windows, several comfortable sofas, and a streaming-equipped TV. You can follow the sandy path home from the beach each afternoon, toss the day's towels in the washer/dryer, and log onto the free WiFi to catch up on a bit of photo-sharing. The kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare homemade breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, including full-size appliances, a breakfast bar, and a bistro table for four by the window.

The house was very pet friendly, although the backyard is not completely fenced to contain a dog. The accessibility to the beach and location to town is great!

I found it very strange that the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were more than half full, but the soap dispenser had barely enough soap for two showers.

Nice cute little spot. Just didn't like the proximity of the neighbor. Or maybe just the neighbors themselves.

I came to the South Beach property with my tween son for his Spring Break. Check-in was efficient with no issues. The bright, open living room has windows everywhere and a nice peek-a-boo view of the ocean past the dunes. Beach access is super easy since it’s just steps away from the property. The beds were comfy! And the WiFi and Roku streaming system worked perfectly. What needs work is the outdated, mismatched, dog hair covered and soiled furnishings. A nice side table with a lamp or a useful coffee table in the living room would be really great too. Also, the kitchen is ill equipped with very little basics (plates, utensils, cleaning products, seasonings or even cooking oil) so plan to bring your own, the electric stovetop and dishwasher were hit/miss and the pots & pans are long past their expiration dates. Basically, if you prefer cooking a well prepared meal for your family, this isn’t the place for you. Additionally, we had an ant invasion in the TV room during our stay which I had to remedy on the fly. Finally, there is active mold growing in the washing machine and the laundry closet door appears to have been broken for some time. Easy clean-ups and maintenance that could have made it a much nicer stay. Overall, the most meh Vacasa place I’ve ever visited.
