About this cabin rental
Take in the peace and beauty of Southern Illinois at this lakefront cabin, scenically situated within Blue Line Resort. This is a place to slow down, share the road with the occasional horse-drawn carriage, and explore the surrounding countryside. Taste your way along the Shawnee Wine Trail (three miles), visit loved ones at Southern Illinois University (five miles), or hike Little Grand Canyon (seven miles) or one of the many other trails close by.

Blue Line Resort is a lovely cabin community located about four miles south of downtown Murphysboro. The grounds are a delight to return to each afternoon, offering a small pond, a dock with built-in benches where you can drop a fishing line, a gazebo with a swing, and a firepit where you can gather for stories and stargazing each evening. Communal laundry facilities are available as well.
This cabin sits at the edge of the pond - a view to take in as you sip your coffee on the covered porch each morning. Another deck, a gas grill, and a picnic table await out back, offering a wonderful setting for afternoon barbecues.
The living space is full of familiar comforts, from the natural wood furnishings to the textiles inspired by the great outdoors. Prepare meals using the well-equipped kitchenette (complete with a fridge/freezer, a microwave, an air fryer, and double hot plates) and sit down to enjoy them at the windowside dining table. There are Smart TVs in both the living room and bedroom (please use your own accounts for streaming), and complimentary WiFi throughout.

This was the perfect location to surprise my wife with a new puppy, the location was exactly as advertised, private lake and huge property only shared with 2 other cabins, when we stayed there was noone else but use so it was perfect. AC and heat worked great. Cabin came fully stocked and was plenty spacious for the 3 of us. Managing company Vacasa was very responsive when responding to our inquiry. Would definitely stay again!! My only constructive comment would be to offer a small burner for the kitchenette and to post more amazing photos of the cabin, I was almost expecting a tiny little cabin and was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious the cabin actually was, it has a full sized bathroom and very large shower too!

Perfect but beware if you are a sensitive sleeper as the mattress on the queen bed is saggy and in need of replacing. Probably fine for 1 person but 2 people easily roll into the middle making for a not-so-good night's sleep.
