Cozy central - 1Bedroom 1Bathroom - Sol

Location was close to everything.

Noisy, particularly when Fridays rolled around. Rowdy partiers on the street below until 6-7am.

I loved everything about this place! The space was clean and comfortable, and indeed cozy, as advertised. It's perfect for 1-2 people. The location is central to many touristic things, and was within walking distance of everywhere I visited during my weeklong stay. The hosts were not only attentive and professional, but friendly and flexible. For example, my flight arrived late and they were able to accommodate my revised timing for giving me the keys. Communication was clear and responsive from the minute I booked, until after I checked out. I especially appreciated the eco-consciousness of the hosts, from their reminders about consumption of water and electricity, to the amenities they provide in the bathroom and kitchen.

While the location was great for many reasons, and it was charming to be located above a bustling pedestrian area, the people below were loud throughout the entire night. I thought the noise might be reduced after 12:00...or 02:00... but there were often exuberant voices until 06:00 or 07:00 in the morning! So while I am still enthusiastically giving this property a 10/10, I strongly recommend preparing to use white noise (eg on your phone) in order to rest overnight... or be one of the revelers enjoying the vibes in the streets until the wee hours of the morning, and sleep during the day!

The location is really ideal for short stays, as it allows you to visit so many central and tourist attractions. Of course, you are right in the middle of the action and the real city center, with so many tourists and buzzing activity, you can't expect the place to be very quiet. But action has its charms. I would go back there anytime, as the noise of the city doesn't bother me (but yes, people will party under your window from 11pm until 6 or 7am).

The building is very old and doesn't have an elevator. The host did warn me about this in advance and the exercice is welcome (you get the charm of an old central madrid building). Just be mindful if you absolutely do need assistance, that the appartment is on the 3rd floor and has no elevator.
