Review of Casa Campagnolo, Sol Valor complex, Calle Patron 2, Playa Honda. Location: The property is located in the eastern side of town, near the beachfront, with three or four restaurants within five minutes walking distance. Access to supermarkets, however, is another matter. We misjudged distances to the various supermarkets in town and without a hire car we struggled with our shopping on several occasions. The Dieland Shopping Centre (very good) is about 750 metres (half a mile) away and provides a great range of shops, bars, coffee shops etc. The Dino supermarket there was the best of those we visited during our stay. If you hire a car there are others like Aldi within a mile or so. Parking near the property is a bit hit and miss. Facilities: The property is a multi-level apartment with downstairs lounge, kitchen, bedroom (two single beds), shower room and terrace. Upstairs (lots of them) is another double bedroom, shower room and medium sized balcony with a partial sea view. We wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Kitchen is very well equipped for those wishing to cook at home. The lounge is comfortable with all the usual necessities. The terrace is private and gets the sun most of the day. The downstairs shower is amazing, although the upstairs shower was missing a door/curtain rail and was unusable. The beds are the most uncomfortable we have slept in at any rental apartment. Great if you like bed springs sticking into your ribs! I would recommend to the owners to have all the mattresses replaced, to improve the comfort ratings from guests. The front door is a nightmare! On several occasions we found ourselves cursing the locking mechanism trying to get back in. It’s not great having to push and turn a lock for up to five minutes to gain access. Finally got the knack of the lock after about five days! Perhaps a video showing how it is done would be helpful. Cleanliness: The apartment was spotless.
