Holidays in a listed building combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society. Car park: There is no car park available. Public transport: La Chaux-de-Fonds is well served by public transport. From the railway station, take bus 310 in the direction of Sombaille to the Signal stop. This is 100 metres from the Domaine des Tourelles. Number of persons 6: The flat is on the 2nd floor. The house can accommodate six guests (plus baby). There are three double bedrooms. The kitchen with its beautiful stained glass windows offers modern comfort. The adjoining dining room has a wonderful view over La Chaux-de-Fonds, as the Domaine des Tourelles is slightly elevated. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and toilet. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. Garden: A terrace and a seating area are at your disposal. WLAN: A television is also available. Open: The house can be rented all year round and for short holidays (min. 3 nights). Pets: Pets are not allowed. Altitude: 1000 metres above sea level. IMPORTANT ADDITION The "Domaine des Tourelles" is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up to date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
