We are in the eastern part of Sicily, and two masterpieces dominate the landscape: the sea and the volcano Etna, united by something greater than themselves: the blue Sicilian sky! The Etna Park (Unesco), with its inactive volcanoes (Etna's children), caves, forests and lava terrain .... lasts 10 km. We recommend that you enjoy a tour of Etna. Catania, with its beautiful Via Etnea and open-air markets, is 15 km away. La Playa (beaches) is 20 km away. I recommend visiting Acitrezza and Acicastello (12 km), fishing villages where the lava flow has painted a castle and basalt giants (faraglioni). Taormina, the pearl of Sicily, is about 40 km away: it is a magical place with the beautiful Isolabella and its narrow streets full of history, a sort of vintage and fashionable atmosphere: cool! Syracuse (Unesco), with its Greek masterpieces, is about 60 km away. Another tip is a visit to Pantalica (Unesco), with its more than 3000 rock-cut tombs, a river, a forest and a kind of mystery all around.
