Claudio and his family made us feel so welcome and comfortable during our time at villa il Pino - they were great hosts and responded quickly to everything we needed. Claudio met us promptly to check in an gave us a map of the area and some local info - his father stopped by occasionally to say hello and check everything was ok. The villa was spotless and the facilities were fantastic: air con in every room, more bathrooms than you could ever need (extra toilet paper in the cupboard which is always appreciated!) a well equipped kitchen, large living area and separate dining area. The pool was a massive bonus, and we spent every afternoon cooling off here after a hot day of adventures - it was refreshing and spotless as it is cleaned every morning by Claudio’s brother. There’s a table and chairs covered by a gazebo which is great for an afternoon aperitivo by the pool, and lots of sun loungers too. There’s secure off street parking inside the villa’s gate with space for st least 3 cars, and also lots of street parking opposite the gate. You definitely need a car to stay here, but the local town is very sweet and there are lots of wineries in the area You’re about half an hour from Etna and Catania, and just over an hour from Taormina and Syracuse - so plenty to visit nearby!
