The country house is located in Cortona, in the hamlet of Montalla. The rural village is quiet but not isolated. The flat has a 500 m² private garden with sun loungers. The veranda in front of the entrance to the flat is equipped with a table and chairs. The flat also has its own parking space. A barbecue is also available. The cottage is part of a stone country house where the owner lives. It dates back to the 16th century and has been carefully restored, preserving the old architecture and the original structure. The furnishings are in the Arte Povera style, simple and rustic, but comfortable. The detached holiday home has direct access from the garden. It offers a bedroom with a double bed (160x190cm) and a single bed (80x190cm). It is also equipped with a chest of drawers and a television. The spacious kitchen-dining room is furnished in a rustic style and is very cosy. It has a large fireplace, a sofa, a wooden dining table, a TV with satellite channels (no pay TV) and a built-in kitchenette. In a niche in the wall is a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The kitchenette is well equipped: it includes a gas cooker, a microwave oven, a coffee machine and a toaster. There are also two bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a bathtub with shower attachment. The flat is air-conditioned (hot/cold), the bathroom is only heated. The sofa in the kitchen-living room can be converted into a double bed (160x190cm), but it is preferable for four people. Free Internet access via Wi-Fi is available. The centre of Cortona can be reached in just five minutes by car. The nearest supermarket is only 1 km away and can be reached on foot. A laundrette owned by the owners of the house is also nearby (4 km). Lake Trasimeno is only 15 km away. The most important art cities of central Italy are within easy reach: Montepulciano (30 km), Arezzo (32 km), Perugia (45 km), Gubbio (65 km), as well as Siena, Assisi (both 70 km) and Florence (90 km). Guests of the holiday home can use a swimming pool, which is located at the other end of the village, about 700 metres away. It is part of a country house with two holiday flats, owned by the same owner and shared with the guests of this house. The pool is an infinity pool and equipped with a chlorine-free saltwater sterilisation system. It is unattended, measures 6 x 12 m and is open from May to September (also depending on weather conditions). The owners offer cooking courses or individual lessons where you can learn how to prepare typical Tuscan dishes, as well as pasta, bread, game and even medieval dishes (prices on site, depending on the course). During the cold season, firewood is provided: the first 100 kg is free, additional wood is charged for.
