The house is wonderful. Big, clean, comfortable and with everything you need. They even left some basics which it is super helpful because you don’t need to worry about bringing soap or toilet/kitchen paper. It has multiple balconies. A nice living room to watch tv after a day out hiking. Also private parking space!

Everything was amazing. I would not change anything, to me it was a 9,9999, but perfection is almost impossible, so, if I would need to give something to improve it would be the warm water tank capacity. We were 4 people and needed to do 2 rounds. And store your food in the fridge, there were ants sometimes. Which is expected, you are in nature!

This house is exceptional. True to the photos and more. Everything is new and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need. We were also left a nice welcome basket, wine, fruit etc. The showers are modern, the bedlinen great. The house has many sweet balconies/outside sitting areas with chairs and tables. A small outside area where you can have breakfast, for example. The locations is good and it was a good starting point for all our trips. There is a supermarket and a pharmacy just up the road. We were travelling with three teenagers and it was very cool that we could all have our own bedroom and come together in the living room/kitchen. The house has a drive in where you can park the car, very convenient. The host also had no problem with us arriving after midnight because we just picked up the key from the box.

The house is on a steep hill (no surprise for Madeira), giving directly to a busy road. Going in and out of the drive way can be tricky, don't rent a very big car as it's not a very wide drive way. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who cannot easily go up and down the stairs.

The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions on how to access the villa. The villa itself is beautiful, having undergone a recent renovation. Lots of natural light, very spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The views into Funchal from the top balcony were stunning and we had the best view of the fireworks for new year. The neighbourhood is very quiet and there is a large supermarket nearby as well as lots of cafes. I could not recommend Casa NOLA enough and will definitely be returning.
