Out of Africa Lodge

I loved the room and the quiet and the fact that there was wood windows which kept the room dark in the morning till we wanted to wake up. I also loved that they gave is some bubble bath in the room for the spa bath I loved the fireplace

It was a bit unorganised when I arrived I had to wait outside the gate which was fine but then the lady giving us the keys were confused about which room was ours. We also didn’t receive any like normal welcome rules such as the wifi password or what to do with the keys when we leave Also there was a bird or something on the outside of the room but when it pooped/peed it came through the roof

We appreciated how close everything was. The accommodation was helpful considering the late check in. Braai and accommodation were clean.

The bed was very uncomfortable with a hollow space in the middle of the mattress (I kept rolling into it during the night). The unit needs to be maintained- the light outside the braai area was completely dim and the table was chipped. There is an ant problem in the unit. Heater doesn't really work.

i liked the bedrooms, braai area, the walk around the lodge

there was no security at the entrance... we had to wait till someone came through to show us our room. on our last day.. we couldn't find anyone to talk in regard to the checking our leaving the keys and all and had to look around the lodge to find someone to assist us. W struggled a bit with the 1-bedroom toilet that was flushing well. one had to wait for some time to flush as the water takes time to fill up.
