Good-sized apartment, extremely clean in a very good, central location. The apartment block itself is very attractive. January room rates were very reasonable. The bed was comfortable and sheets and towels were properly laundered.

The title is misleading. The apartment has a balcony but overlooking the courtyard and there are no views of the Thames. The property management was frustrating. Lots of admin ahead of staying and this was not clear before the non-refundable commitment has been made. A deposit taken which was almost double the cost of the stay. Keys needed to be picked up at a newsagents 10 minutes walk away. I tried to find the info on the day and it wasn’t easily found in the app reservation. Similarly the instructions for actually entering the apartment were extremely difficult to find in the App and when found (after 10 minutes of looking) weren’t as clear as they could have been. I called 3 times for assistance but no one answered. Thank goodness I eventually managed to work things out. Unlike the upmarket photos, the apartment has functional but worn furniture, very few plates and mugs (mismatching) and 3 standing lamps but all were broken. There was a distinct drain smell in the bathroom on 2 of the 3 nights. I didn’t use the kitchen so don’t know how well the appliances or small TV worked. Finally, it would have been nice to have at least a couple of teabags or coffee capsules provided to start off the guest stay, but there wasn’t anything aside from washing up liquid and soaps in the bathroom (which were nice). With very little money invested this apartment could be amazing ….
