Entire 2-bed house in Stoke-on-trent

Quiet and clean neighbourhood. There was a park and trail nearby for walks during good weather. The bus stop to New Castle city center and Hanley city center was just about 3 minutes walk away. The matresses were comfortable and the patio furniture was nice to sit outside with family.

Great quiet easy location, easy to collect keys and was a good little house for us (as a family of 5) to use for sleeping in whilst visiting Alton Towers. Great to have a washing machine and the outside area was nice to sit in during the hot evenings. Upstairs bedrooms were comfortable.

Sadly, we booked as a family of 5 and were expecting to use the sofa bed but when we arrived there was no bedding for it. I contacted the host straight away and initially he told me ‘there is no designated bedding for the sofa bed. You could use the yellow spread in the room upstairs.’ After I explained our booking was for a family of 5 he then suggested I look in the drawer under the bed upstairs, to which I did find extra bedding plus extra towels as he’d only left two bath towels out for us. He said he would try to make arrangements for anything else that we needed but we declined having decided to ‘make do’ with what we found. I did give the host a little more feedback saying the house was ‘mostly clean’, which it was, but I realised later that the kitchen wasn’t that clean with a used and dirty sponge left to wash the dishes with (which we didn’t) and a used and dirty cloth left on the worktop (which again we avoided). We felt the need to re wash dishes and cutlery before using them and I had to wipe the outside table down before we could sit and eat at the table. One of the worktop counters had dirt on too and hadn’t been properly wiped. I fed back that the house is a little tired and could do with some attention to detail but we made the most of it and hardly spent anytime there and appreciated the comfortable bedrooms.
