Conchy Tonk

This was a great choice for us as two couple as we wanted to be away from the main town of BDT. We liaised with Sol who is the property manager and she was easy to communicate with, she arranged us a taxi from the airport and answered any questions we had. She even met us at the supermarket as we had asked if the taxi could stop en route to the house and helped us out. The house is stunning, lush tropical gardens leading down to Bluff beach with Bom Bom beach bar just steps away and the hummingbird restaurant close by. Taxis into BDT were easy to arrange and generally cost $20 each way. The house itself is well stocked with all you need to cook with and bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are very nice with great showers. We loved waking up to all the the sounds of the tropical birds in the garden and surrounding area. We also heard lots of howler monkeys on occasions. We saw sloths close by behind Bom Bom beach bar, very close up which was amazing. The pool was also nice which we used most days. Leo who lives on site was also a lovely guy, very helpful and helped us with laundry etc and answered any questions we had. The only constructive feedback we can give is that we needed a water top up but were charged $7 for this. We also run out of paper kitchen towell and was told that we needed to provide our own which we couldnt get as we didn't go back to BDT for the last 3 days and there were no dish clothes or kitchen towels provided so nothing to dry our hands on or clean the worktops which which wasnt ideal as only a small scourer sponge was provided.to clean dishes with. Given that we had paid almost $3000 to stay for a week, it seemed somewhat 'penny pinching' as ultimately we just wanted to keep the kitchen clean and have something to dry our hands on in the kitchen. This small things didn't ruin our stay and we are not complaining but just providing some feedback to make future guests stays more comfortable.
