Le gîte est bien situé, à deux pas du centre ville avec les commerces. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire aux alentours (La musée de la dentelle à Calais, le musée portuaire à Dunkerques, la coupole à Wizernes, la maison du marais à St Omer et la cristallerie à Arques). Plusieurs supermarchés sont également à proximité pour faire des courses plus conséquentes.
