This is really superb apartment. It is fully equipped with proper oven, fridge, microwave, and washing machine. Most of the supplies are provided too (like salt, cooking oil, baking paper, and laundry detergent; they even provide additional rubbish bags - you don’t get that very often). If you stay for several days you can cook everything you want and enjoy eating on the balcony. Forum Madeira shopping centre is nearby - it's only 4 minutes walk to Pingo Doce. Apartment is clean and spacious, and host was kind enough to allow a bit earlier check-in View is unbeatable: you do indeed get balcony overlooking sea and Funchal, so it's really nice to sit there in the evening drinking red medium bodied wine which was complimentary from the property And on top of everything else, location is outstanding too: immediately outside of the apartment there is a bus stop with a VERY FREQUENT service 1,2,48 to Funchal centre (there is a bus every 5...10 minutes), so you don't need to use taxi at all. Promenade leading to Camara de Lobos is 10 mins away, and you can find several beaches along that way. Overall - would definitely stay there again!

You need to collect keys in the different part of the city. All the instructions are very clear - but still, you need to take this into account when planning the route Also, there is a bit of weird smell which is a mix of damp (shower only) and insects treatment - but you don't want those insects in the apartment, right? I'm really scared of them - but luckily, this apartment was clean, so i can handle the smell
