About this apartment rental
This comfortable, townhouse-style apartment charmingly combines robust materials like concrete, wood, and metal with clean lines and beautiful vintage decor. Against a gray/white and wood backdrop, the magnificent colors of the hills between the Lot and Dordogne rivers blend harmoniously: the blue of the Lot, the yellow of the hills covered in wheat, corn, and sunflowers, and the green of the property's many orchards. A successful marriage of modernity and authenticity. You'll feel right at home!
The former shop is completely open-plan, creating a spacious loft-like atmosphere! Spread across two living areas (80 m² in total), you will find:
Two bedrooms (each for two people, one with a double bed measuring 1.80 x 2.00 m and the other with two single beds measuring 0.80 x 2.00 m) with sliding doors made of reclaimed wood, which Rolf and Karen brought from their home on the Dutch seawalls to France.
A beautiful open-plan kitchen with a raw concrete worktop, industrial lamps in various colors, and all modern conveniences: dishwasher, fridge-freezer, induction hob, oven, coffee maker, kettle, and microwave. A lovely, spacious cupboard houses a charming mix of vintage plates and cups and new pieces from the famous Swedish brand.
The kitchen opens onto the living room, where you can sit around a large white table, near a sturdy sofa, vintage armchairs, and 1970s lamps (suspended from a repurposed water pipe for an authentic touch!). You can also relax on a comfortable wooden sofa, crafted from stone walls, placed in the former shop window and adorned with large and small cushions.
The second bedroom (which locks), comprising a dressing room with wardrobes and a freshly painted bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet, is located directly off the hallway. It is accessed via a staircase just beyond the second-floor bedroom. Comfortable bathrobes are provided. The hallway has a separate entrance on the side street, Rue Concorde, and also serves the apartments of the two occupants upstairs.
Finally, the former shop boasts a small terrace with a handcrafted solid wood bench, where you can savor the charm of French village life: a leisurely breakfast or coffee in the morning, a glass of wine in the evening…
All these elements make this village house an ideal place for your holiday!
