Also known as the capital of the Baroque, the historic centre of Noto was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. Among the protected assets you can find Noto Cathedral, the most important Catholic place of worship in the city. Also in the city centre is the must-see Palazzo Ducezio, a true gem of Baroque architecture that houses the famous Hall of Mirrors inside. Towards the coast rises the natural oasis of Calamosche beach, declared in 2005 as the most beautiful beach in Italy for its crystal-clear waters.
Catania Fontanarossa Airport is approximately 90 km from Noto, whilst Comiso Pio La Torre Airport is 80 km away.
