Welcome to the Dove's Island Nest Beach Retreat! Ocean views and 3 private balconies! Stay comfortably in St. Augustine at this 2-bedroom condo. The space features one king bed, 2 twin beds, and a daybed with a roll-out trundle, perfect for a small group or family. With two full bathrooms (each equipped with a refreshing shower) and a half bathroom, guests can enjoy plenty of privacy and convenience. Bright and inviting, this beach retreat offers a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploring. We hope you enjoy what our place and St. Augustine has to offer. There is a relaxing pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, and a ping pong table in the clubhouse (open hours are posted at locations). You can also bring charcoal and use the community grilling area.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought.
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you.
Service Animals: Pets are not allowed at our beach retreat. If you bring a pet, we will charge your damage deposit for a pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house and you will risk cancellation of your booking. You must let us know if you are bringing a service animal, it's important to let the cleaners know and the office of the condo.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.

The condo is on the 2nd/3rd floor which gives great views of the ocean and sunrise. The condo is a great location next to Butler Park. The condo was spacious with 2 floors. The pool was really nice, there is a shuffle board area, ping pong table and games in the communal area. We gave this place a 4 because of the communication with the owners before and after the stay. Check-in says 4pm and check-out is at 10am. But they still text you before you arrive asking for a specific time you're getting there and then the day before check-out when you're leaving. It gives you the opposite feeling of a beach vacation and more like you're travelling to NY. Last - we rented 3 condo's at Island House this weekend for Memorial weekend and it was the only one that mentions guests have to be pre-approved, so instead of hosting my parents and in-laws we went to their condo's that didn't have this provision. It honestly felt unwelcoming with the time requests and the no guests issue. The ocean helped get me over it and rate it a 4. I was born and raised in St Aug and love coming here every Memorial weekend.
