When we booked this place back in March for a three-day seaside escape, we imagined many things, but certainly not 27 degrees and endless sunshine. On days like these, when half the country seems to head for the coast and parking spaces become a rare luxury, the location of this apartment turns out to be absolutely perfect. The apartment is ideally situated, just a three-minute walk from the beach and the lively seafront with its cafés and restaurants. And for golfers, one of the very few true links courses on mainland Europe is less than ten minutes away, making it a fantastic base for a relaxing getaway. The building itself has clearly seen a few decades, and the apartment is located on the fourth floor, so you should be prepared for a proper climb up the stairs, as there is no lift. But once upstairs, you are welcomed by a cosy and surprisingly well-equipped apartment with a lovely view over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom is modern and thoughtfully designed with a good shower, and we genuinely appreciated the slightly raised toilet, a small detail that somehow worked remarkably well. We also slept extremely well on the sofa bed. Whilst the apartment might feel a little tight for four adults, it was absolutely perfect for the two of us. Of course, you cannot expect this kind of weather with every stay, but when the sun is shining, Wimereux becomes even more charming. The town itself is a true hidden gem, next to Hardelot and especially Le Touquet, full of elegant Belle Époque villas, a relaxed seaside atmosphere, and its iconic little beach huts, which, amusingly enough, are not actually on the beach itself. So, to keep a long review short: if you do not mind climbing four floors, this is a wonderful place for a short stay in Wimereux.

There is honestly nothing we didn’t like. Trying to find something negative would feel a bit like looking for a grain of sand on the beach just for the sake of it.

Das Apartment ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und befindet sich in einer tollen Lage. Parkplatz ist direkt am Haus vorhanden. Besonders gut finde ich, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher vorhanden sind und es wartet sogar ein kleines Willkommenspaket auf einen. Auch sonst ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Der Kontakt und die Schlüsselübergabe waren auch super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Nur der vierte Stock ist ziemlich anstrengend, aber sonst gibt es nichts weiter was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Hele leuke studio, perfecte ligging en privé parkeerplaats wat echt wel een topper was. De studio is heel mooi ingericht en de eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Niets
