Gold Country Serenity!

Wonderful to have an on-site espresso maker (with complimentary espresso) and very easy to communicate with the host! I got in late (definitely recommend sticking to daylight hours to find it if you’re not familiar with the area), but host was quick to respond and help me find my way. I love a split level and eclectic decoration, my favorite of which was the life-sized ceramic goat in the living room. Neighbors had friendly donkeys! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This was such a wonderful and relaxing weekend! It was very homey, peaceful, and the property owner was very attentive as we figured out our arrival and quickly responded to any questions we had. He sent all of the information ahead of time and was extremely kind! He allowed us to easily extend an extra day. The hot tub was extremely comfortable and there are so many birds!! I didn't listen to a single podcast and the only time we had music playing was when my 17 yr old played her boombox for a few hours. The sounds of nature were so cathartic! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the beds are extremely comfortable. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. It almost felt like a gel top mattress with how it hugged me! We BBQed every meal and sat on in the beautiful backyard with binoculars and a cup of delicious coffee from the espresso machine and just be present! We will definitely be staying again! We hadn't prepared for no kitchen and the only sink to use is in the bathroom downstairs, but it was very easily mitigated with a hose outside. There were plenty of pictures, I just wasn't paying attention. The hot tub had a minor leak but we just refilled it and it reheated in about 2 hours during the day and it took about 4 hours in the morning once it was refilled. There are stairs up to the house and down to the bathroom. This was perfectly fine for us, but my mother-in-law had to be cautious. My mother-in-law was grateful that the steps were easy for her to navigate with her cane, she said "much better than the stairs at the chalet!". There isn't a kitchen per say, but there is a wonderful espresso machine, air fryer and microwave if you want. We just BBQed everything on the equipment provided. We did have to pick up some cooking utensils and a cast iron pan to make breakfast.

The property is located just far enough from Grass Valley to have exceptional privacy. The land is gorgeous, and the unit is amazing!

There isn't one thing that I didn't like, honestly.
