This house was very comfortable and cozy for me and my family. The deck has a beautiful view and the property is nice and private for enjoying the hot tub in piece. I loved that we could do a little hike down to the creek from our back yard and that we continuously were visited by deer in the front yard. This house is equipped with everything you could need and has very spacious for me and my family. The location is perfect as it isn't too far from shops and the frosty, but doesn't feel surrounded by other houses. My family is already talking about our next visit, and are thinking about making a yearly stay!

Beautiful view, with a homey lived in feeling. House was clean with a relaxed feeling, like the grandparents house. Why the 3 stars then? Because I cant give it a 3.5. Keep reading.
Pros: Central location in Greagle, makes a great jumping off point for daily adventures, 1 hour to Reno, 1 hour to Truckee... Can fit / enterain a larger group. Perfect for a large family (without littles) or multi family rental. Great internet connection and yard for activities. Close to restaurants and bar, and public land for actual river acess. Wildlife feels comfortable in the yard, as there was a large Doe that would arrive mid morning and bed in the front yard till late afternoon before grazing back down to the river.
Cons: The "Private River acess" (One of the main reasons we booked this property) advertised in the listing is not appropriate for the vast majority of people. Being a steep, overgrown, single track trail, that was under construction during our visit (large pile of rocks in the middle of one section), it appeared to lead to an overgrown section of the river and no "beach". We quickly discovered that our small children wouldn't be using this "access" nor would anyone whom has a limitation or a concern about bush wacking your way down to the water. The house although homey and comfortable poses some issues if you bring young kids, things like a large stone hearth and staircase up stairs without a railing. And although the yard is good size there are alot of overgrown bushes and trees for toys and other items to dissapear into. Some of the furniture and appliances are in need of replacing/ repair.
Overall this house could be GREAT, rather than just good. I feel like the listing could use some updates/ honesty.

Spectacular view! Comfy and cozy home. Peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved it. Deer visited every evening around dusk. Lots of comfy beds for the family. You'll love it.

Our stay day was so enjoyable! The house was perfect for a family vacation. Even though there was a lot of smoke from the Dixie fire, there was plenty to do. The upstairs combination bedroom and playroom was perfect for the kids. And the kids absolutely loved the beautiful yard. The house is close to many educational and fun lakes, rivers, museums and restaurants. We want to come back and enjoy the lovely views of the Feather River and Canyon direct leave below the house.

Had a wonderful stay at the cliff house in Graeagle for our friends 60th birthday. We took advantage of the many great golf courses and found some excellent fishing spots. Caught several rainbows right in front of the house. River access is a bit of a hike but the trail is well maintained and there is also access at the nearby bridge. House is a little dated but everything works fine and the views are amazing. Had a storm roll through on the last night and enjoyed watching it from the porch. Had several meals out and everyone was super helpful and accommodating. Check in advance as several places required reservations but all made space and got us in.
There was a strong smell of kerosene from the heater that the owner may want to check out.
All in all we had a great experience and will be back for one of our next golf/fishing trips.

We had 6 adults and 4 children stay here. Plenty of beds, plenty of room for the little ones to play inside and out. Great location, dining, fishing, golf, the shops and hanging out at the Mill Pond all just a few minutes away. FYI-Keep an eye on children there is a cliff just beyond the back deck.

Can’t beat that view! House isn’t updated. Needs some updates like broken down dining room table. Living room TV has issues with clear audio, so needing captions to know what is being said. Too much clutter in kitchen cabinets leaving little room for the guests to put away their things. Stuff on cabinets is not practical for guests taking up space. But we absolutely love the upstairs huge space for our 6 kids to take up. Master king bed needs to be more firm - too soft - you tend to roll to edge. Love playing corn-hole they provide. You have to have your own ROKU app on phone to watch TV - lower price for this home in comparison to nicer large homes that sleep 10-12. Close to Plumas Golf Course - a little over a mile away. Close to town - under 2 miles. Little store but 20 miles to a true grocery store.

Loved this house. Throwback to the 70's....but super comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. Kitchen well-equipped. Outside grill was clean and ready to use. Plenty of deck seating and a great view of the River. Corn-hole game was a nice touch. Close to everything that's awesome about the Lost Sierras. Would book again.

The house was as advertised. The view was great. The problem was the small bugs in the master bath room and bedroom floor. There were 50 plus of these small flying bugs. We cleaned the bath tub and they were back the next day. No where else in the house.

We had the best time making memories at this rustic house. The house is very old, but filled with beautiful memories of the family owners. We will definitely be back to explore the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, however, we were not notified that the property was having an issue with their well-the water level was low therefore the water was not drinkable and had a very bad odor. We saw a note on the refrigerator after we checked in.
Also, the fireplace had another note on it stating “Out of order, please do not use”. The evenings were cold and we were looking forward to a fire-bad advertising on their part.
Check to see if these items have been corrected prior to your renting this property.

The house sits on a hill with no visible neighbors. Nice deck with a great view. Lots of lawn with seating. Nice kitchen which is decently supplied. Two bedrooms on the entry level. The upper floor is a big open combination bunk room and entertainment room. The only negative, a big one for us ax we tried to sleep in it, the second bedroom has no window coverings and a vinyl floor. with no area rugs.

Loved the house, the property and the view. House is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Disappointed that the hot tub wasn't working though - this was one of the main reasons that I selected the house in the first place.

This home is a great destination for friends and families. A little cold to start but ample heating once you get it on. The hot tub was a huge plus, with mountain views during the day and stary nights. Make sure you stop by the Brewers Lair for a pint and some casual games.

We plan to come back! We loved the view, convenient location (a little tricky to find for the first time). The home was really comfortable, and we all loved the '70's vibe. Very well supplied with kitchen tools, bbq tools, and pretty much everything we needed. It truly felt like a family home.

Wow, such a perfect mountain getaway! Our family loved the amazing views and homey feel of this cabin! The kids were obsessed with all the toys available to play with - they are already scheming about when we can come back for another trip.

The view alone is worth every penny. We were he from Florida for my brother’s wedding. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and hiked down to the river to cool off and fish in the afternoons. Would stay again!

We came to the area for a dear friends daughters wedding. We enjoyed the beautiful views, the funky decor and utilizing the sporting equipment on the expansive front lawn. The home had plenty of room and the kitchen had everything we need for cooking group meals. We also loved the trail down yo the river. Thanks for making our trip memorable!

This is a charming home with a beautiful view of the mountains, forest and river. The pictures do not do it justice. The home is the perfect place for a quiet family vacation. There is plenty of seating and sleeping room for a large family or multiple families.
