The Cozy Cave Odense Center

The apartment is perfectly located, easy to find thanks to the clear instructions, and the host communicates very well. It is cozy, has everything needed for a comfortable stay, and offers great value for money.

Watch out! The low ceiling in the living room, while mentioned in the description, is still easy to bump your head on. The apartment could also have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly before arrival. Finally, the bedroom behind the kitchen would benefit from proper blackout curtains, as it gets very bright in the morning (and evening in summer) —I ended up using towels to block out the light.

The location of the cave is excellent. It was easy to find and very close to the main attractions.

Maybe a fan during the hot days would be a tip. Also in the small room it was a bit bright already at 4 am. I would suggest to put an extra curtain in the small window.

Unfortunately, I found the listing lacking in full transparency. There are two bedrooms, but the second one has a very small bed. This bedroom also has no door, it opens straight onto the kitchen and there are no curtains, so it gets very bright very early on summer mornings. There are also pipes running through this bedroom, which are quite noisy whenever the upstairs neighbors take a shower and water runs through them. The apartment could also be a bit cleaner. The listing also mentions a washing machine, but it's not actually in the flat itself , it's a communal one. That's fine in principle, but it took a few attempts to find it free, and it would have been nice to know this in advance. We were aware in advance that the staircase was steep, but didn't expect it to be quite this narrow and steep, not ideal with two young children. Photos of these details should really be added to the listing so guests know what to expect.
