Great location, a very short walk from the Teatro Massimo or the Mercato de Capo. The street is quiet at night (for Sicily). I liked that the apartment was well supplied with extras (e.g bathroom and kitchen supplies) and was cool. There was plenty of space on the ground floor.
Be aware that the bedroom ceiling is very low (approx 1.6m) so it's fine to use the space for being in bed, but not much else. Using any water in the bathroom activates a high-pitched pump (typical for older buildings I guess), and the shower is rather small. An extra towel would have been nice. But otherwise these are small things; the apartment is still pleasant and good value.
