The property is situated in the middle of the historic area and is within walking distance of everything—street markets, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It is in a perfect location! There is a Lidl supermarket one or two blocks from the apartment, which is very convenient.
The host is over-the-top gracious and very helpful. He responds to messages within a minute or less, and he has a wealth of information about the city.
Palermo is a lively city, full of tourists, restaurants, and a variety of activities. Life is always happening and in progress. The historic area does not feel like a "sit on the beach", calm type of area. There is noise and life everywhere. It is beautiful, magical, and for a westerner, it feels like you have just stepped back in time—what I would call old Europe.
