About this farm stay rental

Surrounded by established trees and paddocks where various farm animals graze, this is a private and tranquil setting.
You'll awake to nothing but birdsong and nature. You will forget the rest of the world exists with this property set 500m off the road and there are no neighbours in view, only farmland.
You'll hear the native tui by day and if you're lucky you'll hear our resident morepork by night. With an orchard of established trees combined with the natives we often get visits from native kereru too amongst other beautiful birds.
You'll be able to watch the farm dog keeping the animals in line with endless energy throughout the day, and hear the calls of the rooster (who is housed at the furtherest corner of the house section to keep this to a comfortable volume) as well as the odd nicker from the horses and bleats from goats and sheep etc.

This 10 acre Lifestyle Farm is located in a small, coastal community with local shops, food caravan, Petrol Station, tennis court and cafe a short 700m walk from the doorstep.
Beach, boat ramps, playgrounds, skate park/kids bmx track (we've got a couple of bikes available for your use during your stay), boat ramps, golf course and restaurants 5km away at Clarks Beach.
Plenty of room for you to bring your boat! The Manukau Harbour has great fishing!

Guests have unrestricted access to the 1 acre section surrounding the house where they can stroll little paths between the trees and visit chickens, pigs, goats and sheep at their leisure.

Guests have separate, private access to their self contained, spacious Farm House.

Owner onsite using separate accommodation plus available by phone and email.
Laundry is shared with owner with powder provided and drier or outdoor washing line available.

Owner will also be available to give a daily tour of the rest of the 10 acre farm if you wish with an opportunity for guests to be involved in feeding some of the animals, particularly alpacas, during this. You will also meet and feed our ex racehorses amongst other animals during this. Farm tour by appointment with timing dependant on our work schedule and the animals' routines.

Children are offered 1 x complementary pony riding experience per stay of 2 nights (eg stay 6 nights, have 3 x pony riding experiences per child)
Pony rides are provided by the owner during one of the farm tours. This includes helping to groom and saddle up the pony, a short lesson in the arena, and a stroll in the paddock.
Pony rides are for maximum weight 60kg, adults that fit within this range are welcome to participate. Riding is at walk only. Safety waiver must be completed.

Note that the farm tour is offered once a day when animals are fed, either early morning (approx 7 30 - 8am) or in the evening (approx 5pm). Specific times will depend on the animals' routines and what events we have scheduled with them that day but unlikely to be during the middle of the day apart from winter months when we often have bottle feeding babies to feed around mid day.

The pantry is stocked with some essentials to get you started with your stay.
Tea, instant coffee, and plunger coffee supplied

Continental breakfast supplied is cereal, rolled oats, yogurt, milk, toast, spreads, seasonal and canned fruits. Where possible we will provide farm fresh eggs however our girls are not overly reliable and seem to enjoy the pampered life as pets over laying regularly ;)
Please advise of any allergies or special requirements when booking

We request that you do not bring your own pets due to us having so many of our own on the property.
That you do not allow animals inside the house.
That you remain inside the 1 acre section when not accompanied by owner.
And no fireworks due to animals and horses please
