About this apartment rental

A peaceful, charmingly cosy apartment in a typical Cortina chalet style, with stunning views over Cortina and the surrounding Dolomites mountains. It has its private entrance from a large secluded garden & boasts bespoke fitted furniture in the typical local style of South Tyrol, made by local master carpenters.
Ample private car park, bus stops close by, also ideally situated close to the “Pedonale”, the pedestrianised disused railway track, leading into the town centre-a pleasant 10 min walk away.

The apartment is accessed from the back garden of the chalet via a private path leading to a private front door (pls see pictures). This opens onto a small lobby/hall (called “bussola” ) typical of chalets in Cortina, where shoes and coats are stored. In winter this is a convenient space to store skis and boots. There is an also handy bench to sit on.

DRAWING ROOM/DINING ROOM
The drawing/ dining room is cosy, being furnished in typical “Ampezzano” /South Tyrol style but it is also light having 2 ample windows overlooking the garden and the surrounding mountains. There is a dining table that comfortably sits 6 people on 4 chairs and a built in bench ; a bench style sofa and an armchair around a coffee table.

From the drawing room, a sliding door gives access to the master bedroom and the bathroom. When closed the sliding door creates an “en-suite” bedroom if needed.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a king size bed, 2 bedside tables and a good size wardrobe fully kitted with hangers.

BATHROOM
The bathroom has a shower, bidet, wc and basin, with handmade fitted furniture (also made in the local style) and a small washing machine. Soap, shower gel and washing powder are provided for a short stay.

TWIN BEDROOM
The twin bedroom is accessed directly from the drawing room. It is “small but perfectly formed”. It is fitted with bespoke furniture in the same Ampezzano style as the rest of the apartment and has a wall hung wardrobe and drawers under the beds. A small folding table doubles up as desk and bedside table shared between the beds.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully kitted out with, amongst other things, an electric kettle, a toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine, a small fridge with ice compartment, a dishwasher, an electric oven and electric hob. On arrival, all our guests will find complimentary Nespresso capsules, tea, milk, sugar/sweetener, biscuits and jams.
Some cleaning products are provided.

OUTDOOR SPACE:
An L shape terrace wraps around the flat and in the summer this is a lovely outdoor space to relax and take in the spectacular views and pure mountain air. (Pls see pictures of outdoor area). Deckchairs are provided.

The apartment has central heating and hot water from a centrally operated boiler room in the chalet. The thermostat is set in the drawing room.
Main windows are fitted with electrically operated shutters which provide security and good light control (instead of blackout blinds).
For guests safety and peace of mind there is a smoke/carbon monoxide alarm, a fire extinguisher and a First Aid Kit.

GUESTS ACCESS
Guests have access to all areas of the flat bar a few locked cupboard doors and drawers which are for the owner’s private use .
