About this house rental

Surrounded by farmland, this single gite is in a peaceful location with views to the Roche du Feu. The house is detached and fully equipped for 4- 6 people, with 3 bedrooms, large kitchen and lounge, opening onto a patio with garden furniture, barbeque, and the large garden with space for badminton, or kicking a ball around. A small supermarket, and post office are available in St.Thois (3 km). Chateauneuf du Faou (9.7 km) has two large supermarkets, a regular outdoor market, shops, bars and restaurants; there is also a very pleasant swimming pool, tennis courts, with various water activities on the Canal/ River Aulne. Beaches -North, south and west, are easily reached in 30 minutes- 1 hour. Top quality golf courses at Benodet, Fouesnant, and Brest are accessible within 40 minutes. The historic towns of Quimper, Locronan, Douarnenez, Chateaulin, Concarneau, Huelgoat, Morlaix are 40 mins away. Home grown fresh fruit and vegetables available in season.

Words can not fully express the beauty and tranquility that we experienced staying at Bob and Jane’s lovely Gîte located in a quiet rural setting yet close to so many amazing towns and villages. The inside is filled with everything you need to instantly feel right at home and the magnificently landscaped property is a constant joy to look out upon. In our many years of travel this little slice of paradise ranks among the very best.

This cottage was the perfect location for a family wind down. Bob welcomed us on arrival to show us around and we were thrilled to receive fresh fruit and vegetables from his garden. Rurally located we enjoyed some fantastic walks and cycles along the river and into the National park and equally found the location perfect for trips to some fabulous Brittany beaches and towns. A game or two of badminton at the end of the day was the perfect way to finish. We really loved our stay - thank you!

Probably one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in, set in beautiful gardens and with everything you could need and more. In the perfect spot to enjoy peace and quiet, but also within easy reach of the coast and interesting villages/towns. Jane and Bob were genial hosts and the homegrown fruit and vegetables they provided were very welcome and delicious. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

The property was incredibly well equipped and comfortable. The garden amazing, enormous and beautifully landscaped. The owners kept us supplied with fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. Delicious. Set in picturesque countryside with easy access to beaches, villages etc. Fully recommend it.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of the hosts for this beautiful tucked away cottage. Extremely comfortable and with lovely views of the countryside. A great place for exploring Finistère, from the lovely beaches to the villages and countryside. We will definitely return.

Sehr schönes Haus mit wunderbarem Garten

Das Haus ist sehr ruhig und schön gelegen, die Lage ist ideal um in einer guten Stunde an der Süd-, West- oder Nordküste zu sein. Die Einrichtung geht über den normalen Standard hinaus, so gibt es z.B. ein Apple TV zur Nutzung oder einen Bluetooth-Transmitter zur Stereoanlage. Auch in der vollständig eingerichteten Küche gibt es ein paar Extras wie z.B. einen Slow-Cooker und einen Dampfgarer. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Außerdem gab es eine Menge Informationen und Karten über die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung. Das Highlight ist der Garten, der eigentlich von der Größe und Anlage eher schon ein Park ist. Da müsste man eigentlich keine Ausflüge machen und könnte einfach dort bleiben. Aus dem Garten gab es von den sehr netten Vermietern oft frische Beeren, Obst oder Salat. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall auch wieder dort hinfahren.

Ein Paradies mitten in der Bretagne! Wir haben uns sofort in die Unterkunft verliebt. Ein tolles Anwesen mit der Liebe zum Detail. Jane und Bob Investieren Ihr ganzes Herz in dieses Heim und wenn man sich entschieden hat dort Urlaub zu machen, dann seid Respektvoll! Alles ist da was man braucht, Sehr sauber, man wird mit Obst und Gemüse aus Ihrem Garten versorgt. Nicht immer aber wenn man nach Hause kommt und es stehen frische Himbeeren oder die grünen Bohnen vor der Tür ist man einfach Glücklich und weiß das man Teil Ihres Lebens ist. Wir wurden oft gefragt ob alles ok ist, man gehört irgendwie dazu und das ist etwas schönes. Sie respektieren Deine Ruhe die man sucht und das ist etwas tolles. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen! DANKE FÜR DIE WUNDERVOLLE ZEIT BEI EUCH 😘😘😘

Accueil très chaleureux de la part de Jane qui nous accueille avec des surprises comme confitures fruits légumes œufs lait pain et vin .très discrète et attentionnée. La maison est vraiment très propre. C est un havre de repos et de silence. De plus un jardin extraordinaire en plus du potager. Très bel endroit pour se ressourcer malgré une météo médiocre Je recommande vivement 😁 Nathalie début août 2021

C’est un petit coin de paradis au coeur de la Bretagne tenu par Jane et Bob qui ont un sens de l’hospitalité exemplaire. La maison est en retrait de la route ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du calme et de bien se reposer. La maison est très propre, parfaitement bien équipée, la literie est très confortable, on s’y sent comme chez soi. Nous avons profité dès notre arrivée des fruits du verger et des légumes du jardin entretenu avec beaucoup de gout. Les escapades à Lorient, Concarneau, Brest, Landerneau, Quimper…ont rythmé notre séjour. Nous gardons un superbe souvenir de cette semaine passée à Saint Thois et y retournerons à coup sur si l’envie nous reprend de nous promener en Bretagne.

Großartig, perfekt, 6*

Nach einem herzlichen Empfang wurden wir mit Gemüse aus dem Garten versorgt und alles notwendige für den ersten Tag war besorgt worden, da die Geschäfte geschlossen hatten. Es mangelte uns an nichts. Wir aßen jeden Tag auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf einen wunderschönen Garten. Das ganze Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und super sauber. Es ist ruhig und mehr als sonst wo ausgestattet. Wir reisen viel aber so eine Top Unterkunft hatten wir noch nie. Auch unsere Kinder 13 und 18 Jahre viel es schwer ab zu reisen. Auch an die Bedürfnisse der Kinder wurde gedacht. Wlan super, verschiedene Spiele und Badmington vorhanden. Wunderbare Unterkunft für alle von uns. Wir werden noch oft an diese Zeit erinnern. Danke an Jane und Bob.

Accueil chaleureux de la part de Jane Graham et de son mari. Ils nous ont conseillé de belles découvertes bretonnes et nous ont accueillis avec des produits du potager et des confitures maison. Le gîte offre tout le confort comme à la maison.

Excelente casa de campo, muy cómoda y con un jardín enorme ideal para disfrutarlo con niños. La ubicación es muy buena, si quieres cubrir tanto la costa sur como la norte del extremo occidental de Bretaña. Las atenciones de Jane y su marido van mucho más allá de la mera cortesía. Tuvimos un problema con el coche y nos lo solucionaron a través de un taller cercano. Todas las molestias que les ocasionamos por tal motivo las afrontaron con la mejor de las disposiciones. Por lo demás, la bienvenida es afectuosa y llena de detalles: vino, hortalizas de su huerto, mermeladas caseras (excepcional la de arándanos), etc. Verdaderamente, nos hicieron sentir como en casa en este bello rincón de Francia. Très agréable séjour en famille

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans ce gîte très agréable et confortable. Le jardin est magnifique et entretenu avec beaucoup de passion par les propriétaires. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, avec de nombreuses petites attentions tout au long du séjour (légumes et fruits du potager, boissons d'accueil, etc...). Un grand merci à Jane et son mari de nous avoir permis de passer un si agréable séjour dans cette jolie région de Bretagne.

Eind augustus 2017. Ontvangst door Jane en Bob met flesje cider, zelfgemaakte confituur en pakketje verse kruiden en sla in de keuken. Genoten van de prachtige tuin. Jane en Bob respecteren de privacy en zijn heel behulpzaam. Adres om te onthouden!

Le séjour que nous avons passé a été très agréable : notre hôte a été d'une grande gentillesse et son accueil des plus chaleureux. La maison, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et fonctionnelle, et le jardin aux mille fleurs sont un véritable paradis ! Nous gardons un très beau souvenir de ces quinze jours dans la campagne bretonne.
