@ Heart of Seoul, Gwanghwamun, Charming 2-Bedroom Air-Conditioned

I was so worried about renting a VRBO internationally. I had not had any experience doing so. I was booked to stay at a large hotel in Seoul and thought…what the heck—I will give this a try. After staying in several hotels during our visit, this was by far the best time we had. Just wonderful. Wait till you see the view when you walk in. This is like having your own penthouse. The apartment is meticulously kept. The location ….this is amazing. Wait till you see the nighttime view. Our taxi driver as we were coming here from the train station said “oh you are staying in one of the best neighborhoods”. That was more true than you can imagine. You can be anywhere within minutes. You can walk to the great palace and square. I just do not know how to put in words how wonderful this experience has been. The host…well that is next level—she saw us walking the wrong way from her car after giving us directions….so she called!!! It was true, we were lost!There is a HUGE gym downstairs that has got to be one of the best equipped gyms I have ever been to. They charge a nominal fee. I do mean nominal. Way cheaper than in the US anyway. There is a laundromat in the same place and across from the gym entrance (There is a washer/dryer in the apartment—but a little small and a little slow—as are many of these in South Korea). For larger and faster loads we just went down the elevator…and there is a great facility.Huge assortment of stores all around!

Our communication with the host, Helena, started before we arrived. Helena answered all our questions and provided pictures of garage to ensure our arrival was a smooth one. The property was clean with a plenty of towels, linens, comfortable couch, breakfast table, comfy chairs, and desk. Our favorite part of the property was the view which was open to the mountain and the city. The property was within a walking distance to Gyongbokgung palace and MMCA. The property description provided by the host was spot on. I recommend you take taxi to get aroundbecause they are inexpensive, convenient, and saves time. I highly recommend you hit the spots that are highest in your list firstbecause you could easily run out of time to do everything you wanted to do.

A great apartment with a great view! The apartment is exactly as described with everything you could need during your stay. Helena is an ideal host- she responds quickly and is very helpful, even offering some neighborhood recommendations. Would absolutely stay here again!

Helena was very communicative and helped us during check in, also gave us some information and recommendations we asked for. The place has beautiful view from the top and located in a safe but very active, modern area close to 2 major palaces that you would want to visit when in Seoul. It had everything we needed and felt very cozy! Would come back!
