Camara De Lobos Lux Villa

Excellent location in Camara de Lobos - 5/10 minute walk to the harbour with plenty of restaurants and bars. Plenty of supermarket/bakery options in walking distance for eating in/packed lunches etc. Good sized rooms. Nice outdoor area with pool and eating area. Plenty of room for parking on the drive.

Nothing major, only small suggestions to improve: 1) Property could do with some upkeep - the side door doesn’t work as the handle is broken and there is a broken window in the living room. 2) The en-suite bathroom could do with a shower curtain to prevent the “flooding” issue mentioned elsewhere.

The views were very good, some of the best I have seen. The outdoor area was also great, very nice pool a big area in the front to park cars. Decent kitchen, it was nice to have all the bedrooms together on a single floor since we were a close family. The balcony on the second and third floor were also amazing.

The place was somewhat dirty, the cutlery wasn’t always clean, the walls in the second bedroom had some stains. Felt like the host was a bit distant from the house and didn’t really care for much for it. There was also a flooding that happened because one of some garbage inside the drains outside, which flooded the whole motor court and almost went inside. I remember I contacted the host and he said it was normal, which it wasn’t since it was clogged. We ended up getting help from the neighbors, not a great look from the host. Although in the end we got 1 hour later checkout which was nice. Also the drive up to the house is very steep, get a SUV if you stay here.
