We enjoyed the property immensely. Views would have been great but...would be so much better without the overgrown trees! Very good, comfortable living space. Despite my list of niggles, I really liked the place. If only one could walk straight down towards the river...

Would recommend going through every item in the place and getting rid of anything chipped or damaged, excess mugs, cutlery etc to create more storage space for foodstuffs. Talking of foods, also get rid of opened foodstuffs (left behind by previous holidaymakers?). Couldn't find instructions for cooker or microwave. There seemed to be no way to adjust the heating other than to put more clothes on or take some off. Although there are many old books and pamphlets there, more readily accessible and up-to-date information about the area would be very useful.

Beautiful location, outside are would be great if weather allows. We didn't have a chance due to cold weather. House has plenty of room and well is well equipped.

We were cold for duration of our stay. On our arrival the house was icy cold , and no hot water. We could not manage to get place heated properly so had to ring the helpline. Someone came later in the evening and brought some portable heaters so we could get to bed in comfort. That night it was warm but every morning and evening we were cold and had to cope with the oil heaters. There is underfloor heating downstairs, living room floor didnt get warm and we had to have either woodburner or heater on. Upstairs had radiators which were always cold in the morning and when we came back in the evening. Weather was very cold and windy for the whole of our stay, heating and water should have been put on prior to our arrival as the place felt as if it have been unheated for a long time.
