The Hotel has a lot of character and is in a beautiful location in the Dales. We watched lambs playing in the field as we had breakfast. There are great walks on to the Dales or down to the river from the front door. The staff were very friendly, and we had a lovely restful stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Stone House Hotel, from checking in to checking out the entire staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were cooked to order which is so much better than having a buffet. The dinners were superb, each night it was difficult to choose. Special mention needs to go to the beef cheek and Yorkshire pudding as a starter.
Nice walk into Hawes to visit the Wensleydale Creamery and Dales museum as well as some nice local shops.
After walking back up the hill to the hotel then sitting in the garden with a drink and enjoying the views was just so relaxing.
