At first we were a bit shocked of the neighborhood, but it turned out we had basically the top location for this wonderful Ballaro market, which was just under our windows (so funny when we tried to ask google maps for directions in the evening when the market was closed and were spinning around until we realized it :) ). After that we were going down to the market every morning. The surrounding may look not very appealing but the property from the inside is just fine, nice surprise. Bathroom was fine, rooms were fine, beds were comfortable, air conditioning was fine. We felt quite well

We could not use the hotplate, looks like it's new, recently installed, but it is induction one and the pots are not suitable for it as they are not steel, but aluminum. I suggest to just add an adapter plate, so all pots, including the coffee making pot can be used, easy fix. The bigger issue is the seemingly paper-thin walls to the neighbors ... I don't know if they work on the market, but every morning really early they make extreme noises as if the whole house is being demolished. The noise from the market is not bothering me, it is a typical street loud market, with people shouting, music, etc. ... but the jumping up every morning with the feeling that the neighbors will wreck the wall and storm onto your bed is a bit stressing. Not sure if anything can be done for this though, except talk to them ... or some partial noise isolation on that side. No idea ... but it is too much
