Villa CLIFF HEAVEN - Heated Pool - Breathtaking views

The villa is beautiful and the views are amazing.

Nothing, but some people might struggle as the road to and from the villa is very steep (you are on a side of a cliff). Having a car or taxi app is a must.

We spent two amazing weeks at Villa CLIFF HEAVEN and enjoyed every moment of our stay. What we loved most was the breathtaking hillside location, offering stunning, uninterrupted views and complete privacy. The property is barely overlooked by neighbors, making it a true haven of peace and solitude. The pool was fantastic—great in size, wonderfully heated, and kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Additionally, the location is super convenient, being close to Calheta harbor where you can find great restaurants and padel tennis courts. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. As a special note for future guests: a sweet local cat visits the villa regularly and loves a bit of food and attention, so we left some cat food behind for her.

While we had a wonderful time and would love to return, a few small touches could make this place even more perfect. Updating the sun loungers, furniture, and mattresses—perhaps adding two separate mattresses in the master bedroom—would bring the comfort level to a whole new height. A few extra kitchen gadgets (like a parmesan grater!) would also be a lovely bonus for guests who like to cook. Lastly, a friendly little note in the guest manual about local Madeira cockroaches and how to gently guide them back outside would be super helpful, as they can occasionally wander in at night. Overall, these are just minor details in an otherwise incredible experience, and we would gladly come back anytime!

The location, the pool overlooking the marina, barbequing on the terrace and last but not least the host, William. We were welcomed earlier than check-in and stayed beside the pool after check-out while we waited for our driver.

Nitpicking; The construction at nearby properties. Sound travels through the hills but they started late and finished early and were not overly bothersome for us but I can imagine if they weren't there, this would have been the perfect getaway. You need a car or some form of transport. It is doable to walk to the marina in less than 20 minutes but it is a hike. I am 48 with arthritic knees and thought of myself as fit until I arrived in Madeira. Taxis are readily available. It would have been nice to have loungers. There are sun chairs that recline back but nothing to be able to lie down fully.

Diese Villa ist ein kleines Paradies. Wirklich alles war perfekt – die atemberaubende Aussicht auf den Atlantik, die absolute Ruhe, die stilvolle und makellose Einrichtung sowie die vielen liebevollen Details, die den Aufenthalt besonders machen. Wir konnten vom ersten Moment an komplett abschalten und haben uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt. Ein großes Plus war auch der Gastgeber: jederzeit erreichbar, freundlich, hilfsbereit und dennoch angenehm unaufdringlich. Genau so wünscht man sich Gastfreundschaft. Jeder Tag – vom Frühstück auf der Terrasse bis zu den Sonnenuntergängen am Abend – war ein Highlight für sich. Villa Cliff Heaven House ist einer dieser seltenen Orte, die man mit einem vollen Herzen verlässt und zu denen man unbedingt zurückkehren möchte.
