⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This homestay in the Sinharaja area was even better than I expected. The food and drinks were fantastic, the hospitality was excellent, and the whole family was genuinely lovely. A special mention to the host — he was amazing. I also booked a Sinharaja tour through him, which made everything so easy. He organized the whole experience really well, including a wonderful jungle lunch beside a beautiful waterfall. Even though he didn’t join the tour himself, he made sure everything was arranged perfectly and checked that everything went smoothly. As a lovely surprise at the end of my stay, he also treated me to a completely complimentary tea factory tour. Such a memorable experience. I would absolutely recommend this place! ❤️

★★★★★ An unforgettable stay near Sinharaja Rainforest! Feel At Home Stay was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and it is a perfect base for exploring the Sinharaja Rainforest. The Sinharaja tour was absolutely amazing. Our local guide was very knowledgeable about the rainforest, birds, plants and wildlife, and made the whole experience really special. It felt authentic and personal rather than like a typical tourist tour. The food was also excellent. Everything was fresh, delicious and prepared with so much care. We really enjoyed the local Sri Lankan food, as well as the tea and other drinks. Most of all, the hospitality made this place special. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. You genuinely feel like you are staying at a friend’s home rather than just another accommodation. If you want to experience Sinharaja, enjoy authentic Sri Lankan food and meet a genuinely welcoming local host, I would highly recommend Feel At Home Stay. I would definitely stay here again!

At first, I thought this stay might not be very good because the price was so affordable. But I was pleasantly surprised — everything was really great. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a really good night’s sleep. The food and drinks were excellent, and the hospitality was amazing. I especially loved the full-day Sinharaja Lion Rock tour that I booked through the host. I got the chance to go deep into the rainforest, to places that most tourists rarely get the opportunity to visit. It was an unforgettable experience. The host also kindly took me on a tea factory tour for free, which was another really interesting and enjoyable experience. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to other travellers.

When I came to Sri Lanka, I travelled to different parts of the country with my boyfriend. We visited Nethsara’s stay because we wanted to join a Sinharaja tour through his company. After learning that my boyfriend is Sri Lankan and that we had waited a long time to finally meet each other here in Sri Lanka, he shared his own personal story with us. He told us about a German girl who stayed at his place on March 1, and how much he loves her. The way he spoke about her was so genuine and touching, and we truly enjoyed listening to his story🥰 From the bottom of our hearts, we wish the very best to both of them. He also told us that he is planning to build a glamping site in the future, and that its name will be connected to the girl he loves. We will definitely come back and visit the glamping site once it is ready!
