An unforgettable stay in the heart of Sinharaja’s rainforest 🌿 We spent a week at Rainforest Cottage, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The accommodation is spacious, clean, and comfortable, with windows overlooking beautiful rice fields. Every morning, having a coffee on the balcony feels like sitting in the middle of a natural zoo, with countless birds coming to visit. It is a little paradise for anyone who loves nature. What makes this place truly special is its location in the middle of a real Sri Lankan village. You don’t feel like a tourist staying in an isolated resort; you feel like you are part of the local community. After a week, we felt we had come to know half the village, and the warmth, kindness, and friendliness of the local people are simply beyond words. We will remember these encounters for a long time. But the absolute highlight of our stay was the host and his staff. Their hospitality goes far beyond what you would normally expect, even from the best hosts. They were genuinely caring, attentive, and always ready to help. When we encountered a problem, our host went out of his way to help us solve it, and he also organized some amazing trips that made our experience in Sinharaja even more memorable. It never felt like just a professional service — it felt like having someone truly looking after us and wanting us to have the best possible experience. We left with wonderful memories, a deeper appreciation for the local community, and enormous gratitude to our host and his team. If you are looking for an authentic Sri Lankan experience, surrounded by nature and extraordinary people, look no further. Highly recommended — not just for the cottage itself, but above all for the exceptional people who make staying here so special. ❤️

We had an absolutely incredible stay and loved everything about this place! The location is great, the food prepared by Isuru is delicious and the bedroom amenities are super comfortable (we got some of the best sleep of our trip here). What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the wonderful team. Thank you so much to the brothers Mahesh and Randimal and 'chef' Isuru. Your incredible warmth, attention to detail, genuine care and quick responsiveness made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. We are so grateful for your unmatched hospitality!🙏 A special thanks also to Wijitha, who was a fantastic guide for our trip booked by the accommodation to the Sinharaja Rainforest Park! The hosts were the kindest people ever they made us feel comfortable straight away, I even told them that it was our anniversary and they decorated the room very beautifully ! The meals we had there were super tasty especially the coconut honey pancaques were superb still craving rn cus I hadn’t had such good ones anywhere else. The room of course is super cute but you can tell from the pictures haha !

The only thing that’s not perfect is maybe that it wasn’t as close to the rainforest entrance as I thought but it’s still really great !!!

Kamer was niet op tijd klaar terwijl dit ruim op tijd was gevraagd. Bij aankomst zaten 3 jongens op t balkon terwijl ze de kamer moesten schoonmaken. Geen werkwnde wifi verbinding, geen pinmachine dus 16km rijden om cash te halen.
