The King Residency

**Great service, great location.** I was looking for a hotel near the Yashobhoomi exhibition centre and found The King Residency. They have a covered and gated secure parking area, and they helped me park my Royal Enfield inside during my two-night stay. The service was amazing, the best I've ever had in India — very friendly and helpful from the very first moment. The manager Sam was very professional and speaks perfect English, which was very helpful for me. The check-in was smooth and very quick, and within minutes I was in my room with two bottles of complimentary water, able to lie down and relax. After the stress of travelling, this is the kind of check-in experience you want — awesome. A room service cup of chai later, and I was ready to chill for a few hours; the AC worked great. They have a room service menu, but I ordered Zomato delivery and the hotel had no complaints — in fact, when the Zomato delivery arrived, Sam the manager personally delivered it to my room. I booked a single room but was given a whole 2-bedroom apartment with kitchen and dining room! If you're looking for family-sized accommodation, or travelling with a friend but don't want to share a room, this would be the perfect arrangement. The room was basic but very clean, the sheets were clean, the AC worked great — full power cold in minutes — and there was a TV. My room had a balcony with a great view of the street corner to watch local life go by. There's a chemist shop directly opposite the hotel and many other general stores and veg and fruit sellers within 10 to 20 seconds' walk from the front of the hotel. You won't find a more convenient area to take care of all your shopping or self-catering needs. I asked for a non-smoking room and was given one — A+. It's a 5-minute (₹50 in 2026) rickshaw ride from the Yashobhoomi exhibition centre front gate, but the rickshaw can't go past the first checkpoint, so basically you're walking the rest of the way from the main road — about 5 minutes to actually step inside the conference centre lobby. Walking back took me about 15 minutes. On the map it looks really close to the airport, but I don't know how long that journey would actually take. The staff were all very polite and humble — no bad attitude from any of the boys, they were all good boys. They delivered chai and my Zomato orders on a few occasions with plates and cutlery from the hotel, and they never gave any attitude of demanding or pressuring for a tip or baksheesh. I thought this was very impressive — the staff have obviously been well trained and have a great attitude. Check-out was also very easy with no pressure — when I asked for the room service bill they said forget about it, but I insisted. I want to emphasize the professionalism of the staff, because in some hotels the staff have a bad attitude — if a worker carries your bags to the room or brings room service, they wait around or pressure you for a tip. I was very surprised here — there was nothing like that. I gave some small baksheesh to everyone who helped me when I left, and they were also very polite and grateful to accept it. Even my plumber back home asks two or three times for more money after a job — these guys are the perfect example for the Indian hotel industry of how to treat guests. I can recommend this hotel to anyone — I paid the cheapest rate I could find and got the best service. Save your time, stop looking anywhere else, and book here now.
