Loft Spacieux Down Town

Awesome location and very spacious. A great place to continue enjoying the city, even when you weren’t out exploring.

I really enjoyed the property so I don’t have anything negative to say.

The location being right across the street from the Fine Arts Museum was great, with lots of cafes and food options nearby. It was also relatively close to the metro station which was great. The loft was very spacious and seemed generally clean, despite the building being older. The furnishings were trendy and nice, and the kitchen was a great size and had everythig we needed.

The host kept asking us what time we were planning to arrive, which added a lot of stress to our travel day. Our check-in time was 4pm, but we didn't receive the door code until 4:45pm, when we were already waiting outside the building. We also had to ask for the building code, instead of it being sent to us automatically. We were told to wait outside until 5pm, because the unit was still being cleaned, and then waited inside the unit until 5:15pm, while the cleaners worked around us. The exterior door to the building was also left unlocked in the late evening (11:15pm), which felt very unsafe. In addition, the front door to the unit swung outwards (instead of inwards), meaning the door hinges were on the outside, making it very easy for someone to break in. The door to the building being unlocked, combined with the hinges of the door to the unit being on the outside made us feel quite unsafe, especially since the unit is located on a busy street (although the neighbourhood itself felt safe). Overall, the delayed and difficult check-in process along with the reduced security of the doors made us give this stay a rating of 7/10
