High Street Hideaway

The rooms were clean and a well equipped kitchen had tea sugar coffee. Lots of plates and cutlery. Lots of the floorboards squeaked to our amusement giving the place a bit of character.

Collecting the key was frustrating as the wrong pin code was sent. The lock box was difficult to open even with the correct pin number. The contact phone number was answered and no-one spoke, after messaging host via Bookingdot com he called on a different number and we got in

Location was great for a stay in Kirkcaldy to meet friends. Easy links to Edinburgh. Contact with Malcolm was absolutely second to none both before we arrived and just after we arrived.

The windows are a bit old, could do with some curtains to keep out the draughts

Excellent location. Very clean, comfortable and secure. Had all the facilities that you need. Check-in was smooth and the host was very friendly, informative and communicated well. It was warm and cosy, with good showers and the bed was very comfortable. Slept well. Very near, shops bars and restaurants and the Kings Theatre on the prom.

I'm not sure how often the close and stairs are cleaned, but my guess is not a lot. I'm sure the owner does his bit, but not sure if the others do. Six flats in the block. Four baby buggies at the bottom could be folded away to at least make the place look a bit more presentable. It's not a good look. However it does not detract in anyway from Malcolms lovely accommodation.
