Sunset Cove

Very nice place to stay for a stopover, I enjoyed the hospitality from the lovely lady and her family who runs it. They struggle a bit with English but they are so friendly and provided me with a nice breakfast and offered to help me with anything, I didn’t even have to ask❤️. Beautiful house, clean rooms, lovely working showers with modern refurb. Bathroom is the best i’ve had so far overall with the facilities.

Rooms are upstairs so it’s a bit awkward to carry luggage. There is no A/C in the room and the room is quite small and not very private, however they do have a luxury bed with mosquito netting and working fan. The place was hard to find (Doesn’t appear on Google Maps) but did find on Apple Maps. There is nothing around apart from Turtle Beach/Dalawalla Beach which i found really underwhelming, only private beach resorts, coffee place next door was closed, quite far out from the main part of Unawatuna.

Great accommodation! Everything went smoothly, and the host was very kind and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. For a small additional fee, she prepared a generous and delicious breakfast. Very close to the beach!

The location is near to a main road, so it can be a little noisy for sensitive ears. :)

Sunset cove is een echte aanrader. De familie was supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook was de accommodatie heel netjes. Zowel de slaapkamer als badkamer. We voelden ons enorm welkom. We kregen een fris drankje bij aankomst en de familie bezorgde ons een heerlijk avondmaal. Vlak naast het verblijf is een klein winkeltje en het ligt superdicht bij het strand.

Het enige minpuntje zou kunnen zijn dat het gelegen is aan een iets drukkere baan, maar dit had onze slaaprust niet verstoord.
