La Huésped

I really enjoyed staying at La Huesped. The one bedroom apartment is situated on the 11th floor of the building........There is an elevator to access the upper floors. The apartment has all the comforts of home. It also has a patio off the bedroom over-looking the area. I enjoyed siting on the patio in the late afternoons and early evenings and feeling the wonderful breeze. The kitchen is stocked with newer appliances, dishes, pots, flatware and utensils. Drinking water is provided by the host which is a big plus for me. The bedroom is nice and large and also has an iron and an ironing board. There is a wardrobe with drawers and shelves; however there is no place to hang your clothes. The sitting room is very comfortable and a great place to stream your favorite movies and shows. During the day, if you open the front door and the patio door, there is a nice breeze that flows thru the apartment. If you use a tuktuk or uber for transportation, the area outside the building is know as Saba-Saba....Vipingo Butcher....the drivers are familiar......also there is a Naivas Supermarket about 300 meters down the road. The host, Benjamin, was very accommodating and was always available to answer any questions or handle any issue that would arise. If asked....'Would I book La Huesped again'......the answer would be yes.

The following are not things I did not like, but are things some people may not be aware of, and would not prevent me from booking the apartment again. The area contains about three Mosques, so during the days and early morning hours you will hear the 'call to prayers' from numerous directions. I always travel with earplugs that I also use on the plane, so it is not an issue for me. I didn't find much in the way of restaurants in the immediate area, but not an issue if you love cooking your own meals. I didn't go out much at night, but during the day, I did not have any concerns about my safety.

I liked the setting and arrangement of things in the house, the spaciousness, and the cleanliness

It was a bit noisy for about an hour on Friday, probably because the mosque is nearby. but everything is 10 over 10

I enjoyed my stay at the place, it was clean and well kept, also the decor is on point. I also loved how its location, at the centre of the city, this made my access to many places a bit easier through tuktuk or ubers. The checkin process was also smooth and the wifi was just perfect. I enjoyed my stay at this property
