About this house rental
This one-bedroom bungalow has a private bedroom with a King Size bed and living room with two full size futons. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge, stove/oven and microwave. The bathroom has a spa shower/tub. The bungalow also has a large front porch with seating area. Located close to many great state parks such as Elephant Rocks (5 miles), Johnson's Shut In's Taum Sauk Mountain state park (highest point in Missouri) and Shepard Mountain Bike Park. Also enjoy the Arcadia Academy within walking distance to which you will find a restaurant called Thee Abbey Kitchen, a bakery, homemade Ice Cream Shoppe, candies/gifts and much more to explore!

June 2024 and (sing it) "I'm hot. You're hot! He's hot! She's hot! WE'RE HOT! They're HOT! HOT HOT HOT!" Temp records are getting busted but we were happy and cool! Arcadia, MO isa less than half tank trip, including going to the Shut Ins during road construction and MAX A/C!!!
We found fun people, good food, the bungalow was nice and cool and the ice maker was on! Neat and clean and you can tell these folks have been working hard.
It was HOT when we arrived but the pool was cool and clean, even in the full sunshine of the day!
Don't even try to talk me out of using the SPA SHOWER! After a hot day a cool spa shower experience and awesome shampoo (provided) got us smelling sweet again. The kitchen was set up with anything we needed (maybe missing hot mitts but no biggie.) There was ice in the freezer and clean sheets and the king bed was SOOOOO comfy.
So many places have weird glitchy things that are wrong, but everything was great and we hope to be back. Cool thing is there is plenty to do without going anywhere...pool, tetherball, pickle ball, fire pit, porch swings, bbq spot, flowers in the gardens!
You folks are doing an awesome job at AVB! Thank you for being a great place to stay!
