Welcome to The Little Haus in the Hill Country, a storybook getaway hosted by best-selling children’s book author Melanie Salas—a Hill Country cozy escape made for families, friends, fresh air, and memory-making.
The Space:
The most treasured space in the home is the expansive screened-in porch with a wood-burning fireplace; a true Hill Country haven for movie nights by the glow, fireside wine, slow mornings, and relaxing evenings under the Texas sky.
Sleeping up to 8, it’s ideal for families, couples, and girlfriends’ weekends. Kids will be obsessed and happily entertained for hours in the main-floor playroom featuring a two-story storybook playhouse; perfect for imaginative adventures and make-believe fun.
The home features a private main-floor primary bedroom, and upstairs, the cozy loft is perfect for movie nights in bed after a fun Hill Country day.
Pet-friendly; bring the whole family (pups included)! Enjoy extensive resort amenities including pools, pickleball, putt-putt golf, and a playground, close to Fredericksburg and Luckenbach.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire home, including outdoor seating areas, porches, and all resort amenities. Check-in is simple, with easy entry and convenient parking right at the site.
Check-in instructions and your door code will be sent to you via a SuiteOps link after your reservation is confirmed. The main entry is the keypad door. Please make sure the sliding door is closed and latched whenever you leave and at night. If you have any trouble with a door or lock, call or text us at 830-999-2694.

Located within Firefly Resort, surrounded by scenic vineyards, rolling hills, and peaceful Hill Country views. Enjoy proximity to local wineries, dining, and downtown Fredericksburg attractions.
Getting Around:
Driving is the best way to explore the Hill Country. Resort roads are simple to navigate, and local wineries and shops are just a short drive away.
Other Things to Note:
This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $500(which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $29.00 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
