Welcome to Frøybu – a spacious mountain cabin in Budal, located at the foot of Forollhogna National Park and about 1.5 hours from Trondheim. Surrounded by peaceful mountain landscapes, forests and open nature, this is the perfect place to relax and experience the Norwegian mountains.
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests and is ideal for families or groups of friends who want to spend time together in nature while enjoying modern comfort.
After a day outdoors, sink into the warm hot tub on the terrace and relax under the clear mountain sky. On quiet evenings the stars reflect in the crisp mountain air and the silence is almost complete.

The cabin is 150 m² and designed for social gatherings and relaxation. The open living room and kitchen area creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can gather.
Large windows bring in natural light and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The wood-burning fireplace adds a cozy atmosphere on colder evenings.
The kitchen is fully equipped and features a large kitchen island, making it easy to cook together – whether preparing a simple breakfast before heading out or enjoying a long dinner after a day in the mountains.
Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements
Frøybu has four comfortable bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 guests.
All beds are prepared with freshly made Egyptian cotton bed linen before arrival, and soft duvets ensure a good night's sleep.
The master bedroom has a private bathroom and direct access to the terrace and hot tub.
Terrace, hot tub and outdoor areas
A large terrace surrounds much of the cabin and offers several seating areas so you can always find a sheltered spot.
Here you will also find a fire pit and a cozy outdoor lounge with a gas fireplace. The outdoor room is heated and can be used year-round. Sheepskins and blankets are available for extra comfort on cooler evenings.
